Your Challenge:

The Trade compliance officer is responsible for implementing a trade compliance program which allows for identifying risks, and preventing and mitigating damages related to the customs laws of countries where Wolf Oil Corporation operates. You are the internal coordinator for local environment legislation, local transport of dangerous goods legislation and local product labelling legislation.

  • You initiate, develop and coordinate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all global trade restrictions and Belgium’s import& export laws
  • You support the sales team and our distributors in the import/export business, by (fully complying with/advising on) the applicable laws and regulations in their respective countries
  • You interface with customs & other export supervising authorities to build up a good communication channel to improve business efficiency
  • You give training to internal teams & stakeholder for their respective BU trade challenges
  • You keep close relationship & communication with our custom brokers on HS classifications and permits/licenses
  • You work closely with internal & external parties to have the most recent and correct information concerning local environmental legislation, local transport of dangerous goods legislation and local product labelling legislation of the countries where Wolf Oil Corporation operates. You coordinate questions concerning these topics and you make sure our distributors are informed.
  • You define & lead all Trade customs & compliance optimization projects
Your profile 

You are able to communicate with and acquire input from colleagues in various field of expertise.
You have a good knowledge of Custom & Global Trade Regulations and Processes.
You have strong analytical skills and are highly engaged, hands-on and result oriented.
You are fluent in Dutch and English. Good knowledge of French is an extra asset.
